We are very pleased to announce that Peelbergen Equestrian Centre is now an official Show Supporter of the International Grooms Association (IGA). This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to working more closely with grooms, listening to their experiences, and helping shape positive changes across the sport.
“At Peelbergen, we are committed to offering the best possible experience for everyone involved in our shows – including the grooms, who are the working force and backbone of the sport. We are proud to partner with the IGA to provide a safe space for grooms to be represented and have their voices amplified. We also know that some decisions are out of organisers’ hands, which is why we believe in a stronger collaboration between organisers, riders, federations, and the wider equestrian community. Ensuring the welfare of grooms, riders, and horses is a shared responsibility.” Says our Managing Director, Ken Ruysen.
We are already taking several steps to support grooms at our events, including free breakfast and lunch at all FEI shows, a seated catering area close to the stables, on-site security, and respecting the rules regarding class end times whenever possible.

“We are very pleased to welcome Peelbergen as a Show Supporter. As one of the major equestrian venues in Europe, we know many of our members have worked at Peelbergen, and it’s great to be approached by forward-thinking organisers who want to hear from the grooms. In the coming weeks, we’ll be doing a survey to collect feedback about the experience of working at Peelbergen, and this will help shape future plans.”
