Peelbergen Equestrian Centre is set to host two prestigious auctions back-to-back this September. On September 23rd and 24th, the Dutch Sport Horse Sales will celebrate its 20th anniversary, followed by the 24th edition of the Limburgse Veulenveiling on September 25th. These milestone events have become a highlight in the equestrian calendar, drawing international attention for their consistent presentation of top-level show jumpers.
Dutch Sport Horse Sales
Since its inception in 2002, the DSHS has grown into a significant platform for discovering future champions. Originally focusing on younger horses, the auction has adapted over the years to meet market demands, now featuring a selection of five, six, and seven-year-old horses known for their exceptional potential.
Michel Hendrix, a member of the organizing committee, reflected on the auction’s growth, “We have always focused on selecting the best young jumpers for this auction. Horses with top level potential for the future. That has not changed.” The success of DSHS is a testament to the committee’s dedication, with each auction attracting both loyal participants and new enthusiasts eager to invest in young talents.

Limburgse Veulenveiling
The following day, Peelbergen will host the Limburgse Veulenveiling, which returns with its 24th edition. Building on the success of last year’s record-breaking event, the auction has attracted a broad and exceptional selection of foals, with over 80 foals set to be auctioned live on September 25th. An additional 50 promising showjumping foals will be available in an online auction, which closes on Friday, September 27th.
The Limburgse Veulenveiling, guided by the experienced team at Stal Hendrix, has consistently ranked among the top three foal auctions in the Netherlands. This auction is a vital platform for showcasing the exceptional young foals born and bred in the Limburg region, making it a must-attend event for serious buyers.
